Every vendor picks a workload that flatters them. We picked DOOM.

^* Strictly speaking, this is Wolfenstein 3D. It's using raycasting, not a BSP tree. I'm working on a BSP implementation in SQL. Watch this space.

Measured on a c8id.4xlarge (16 vCPU, 32 GB RAM), instance-local storage in RAID 0. Every system runs the same DOOMQL codebase; adapters with SQL syntax deviations use per-adapter overrides. DOOMbench is open source. Currently Postgres-compatible only, PRs to add new systems are welcome.
